1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MyInteractiveBook ("the Platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all users, including readers, authors, publishers, and administrators.

2. Description of Service

MyInteractiveBook is an interactive e-book platform that provides:

• Digital book hosting and reading experiences
• AI-powered tools including chat, translation, text clarification, and text-to-speech
• Publishing tools for authors and publishers to distribute their content
• Reader engagement analytics and management tools

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account.

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed.

4. Reader Plans and Subscriptions

4.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited access to public books and AI features at no cost. We reserve the right to modify the features available on the Free plan at any time.

4.2 Paid Plans

Paid reader plans (Reader Pro, Scholar) are billed on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are displayed on our Pricing page and may be updated with 30 days' notice.

4.3 Free Trials

Paid plans may include a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and you will be billed accordingly.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. Publisher Terms

5.1 Publisher Registration

Publishers must register with a valid company or author name. By registering as a publisher, you agree to the additional terms in this section.

5.2 Publisher Plans

Publisher plans (Author, Publisher, Enterprise) provide access to content management, AI tools for readers, and analytics. Each plan has specific limits on books, chapters, and AI queries as described on our Pricing page.

5.3 Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you upload to the Platform. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute your content through the Platform for the purpose of providing our services.

5.4 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you publish. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to publish the content
• The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• The content does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or harmful material

5.5 Revenue Share

Revenue from book monetization (reader subscriptions and one-time purchases) is shared between the Platform and publishers as follows:

Book Subscription Revenue (Reader Pays Monthly)

• Publisher Plan: 30% publisher / 70% platform
• Enterprise Plan: 30% publisher / 70% platform

Book Sale Revenue (One-Time Purchase)

• Publisher Plan: 75% publisher / 25% platform
• Enterprise Plan: 80% publisher / 20% platform

Revenue payouts are processed monthly, subject to a minimum payout threshold.

5.6 Platform Fee

Publishers are charged a recurring Platform Fee for hosting, AI infrastructure, and managed platform services. The Platform Fee is independent of and in addition to any revenue share from book sales or reader subscriptions.

5.7 Plan Limits

Each publisher plan has defined limits (number of books, chapters per book, AI queries per month). Exceeding these limits requires upgrading to a higher plan.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Upload or distribute content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from the Platform
• Abuse AI features by submitting harmful, misleading, or spam queries
• Resell or redistribute Platform services without authorization

7. AI-Powered Features

Our AI features (Chat, Clarify, Translate, Text-to-Speech) are powered by third-party AI services. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated responses may not always be accurate or complete
• AI features are provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy
• Your AI interactions may be subject to usage limits based on your plan
• We do not use your AI interactions to train AI models

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of MyInteractiveBook. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Platform without our written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyInteractiveBook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
